Everyone has their favourite sail, mine¥s the 5.4. So I was really pleased to see the Levante make a welcome return...

First off, I tried to be a ¥real¥ windsurfer and sail barefoot. Now bear in mind I bought the Axxis off Al. Do you think the board spent most of its life unused in a garage, or spanked freely on a daily basis? Quite. I was like a duck trying to land on an iced-over pond. Couldn¥t even ¥get a grip¥to waterstart. So resorted to the trusty boots, and once again all was well in the world.

The Levante was still gusty, but not as bad as some days. Was VERY nicely powered up, and really getting the hang of clattering freely over chop :-) I spent most of my reaches hanging off the harness like a rag doll and overtaking everyone in site. In fact, I think this was the first session EVER where I wasn¥t passed once :-) Missing the old board yet Al?!

Getting further around gybes before the inevitable dunking, but feel as if progress has been made.

A really stonking session, had I made just one gybe it¥d have been 5 stars...
